· Although the moral philosophy of Freemasonry is constructed upon religious principles, it is not a religion, nor is it a substitute for religion. However, the foundations of Freemasonry are based upon religious teachings taken from the Holy Bible.

· A Mason strives to live a life of responsibility, honor, and ethics, and is a person of good moral character.

· A Mason hopes he can make the world a better place through conformity to the fraternal tenets of brotherly love, relief and truth.

· A Mason strives to be a good citizen by being true to his country. He seeks to support and maintain the principles of good government.

· A Mason sees brotherhood as a form of wisdom and fellowship. He perceives this as a personal relationship in which we owe it to each other to be just in our dealings, and offer assistance and charity to those in need.
